I've been doing basic retouching since the early 90's, and higher-end retouching for the past several years. Compared to your run of the mill blur tool user, I'm extremely skilled. Compared to the ultra-high end work you'd find in Wired, my work is serviceable. It really depends on what your needs are, and how far you want to take your image.
I love retouching people, and bringing out the best in them without making them look like someone else completely or overly airbrushed. Think of the very best picture you've ever had taken; the most flattering angle, best light, best smile -- that's the feeling of what I love to bring to the forefront.
If you have some retouching you'd like done, drop me a note and a small version of the image (or type of image) in question and I can give you an idea of how long it might take, and how much it might cost.
If you'd like to see examples of retouching, let me know -- I have a few different sample sheets that I'm happy to share with you, but I'd prefer not to put up too many before and after images because what happens in photoshop, stays in photoshop. ;>
